1 Flint Street, London

Steeped in history, this former Victorian Police station in South London, dating from 1892, is one of our recent development projects. Unmodernised since closure of the police station in the mid 1970s, the building is in need of a new purpose and use. Harrison Architects and Designers Ltd have designed and managed the Town Planning process, and obtained Planning Consent to convert the building into 9 flats with the courtyard at the rear becoming a shared amenity space.

The building requires a substantial refurb and thermal improvement, and once done will secure the building for another generation, providing decent homes in one of London’s most deprived boroughs. The project will also secure a dilapidated building within the Walworth Conservation Area which forms part of a small cluster of older buildings in the area.
