Process
At the formative stages of projects, we prefer Old-fashioned skills such as free-hand sketching for speed and freedom without the need for computer inputs. Our commitment to free thinking enables us to quickly explore ideas and develop them to maturity. As concepts and the right approach to a project crystallise we use the latest CAD software to create coordinated designs.

Managing projects through the post-submission stage up to the committee date, we believe is key, akin to carrying the ball all the way to the try line.
In this time, we have proven highly successful in overcoming any planning challenges and turning refusals into consents. For example, we will sometimes strategically accept a refusal to establish the planning authority’s stance on sites, particularly where an array of tricky issues exists.

Harrison Architect + Designers Ltd understands the urgent need to respond to climate change. We strive to create better buildings by reducing heat loss and energy use in all our designs. All our work is guided by our ethos that we must play our part in leaving the planet in a better place than we found it.
We produce well-made, high-quality architecture with low energy consumption, and we select all materials with an environmental conscience. Furthermore, we have begun training towards accreditation as a “Passive House Designer”.
